Cabana Sam’s Sunset Bay Grill in Irving, NY, offers the best of both worlds: seats right at the beach, to enjoy the sun and scenery, plus tables with umbrellas for shade, and a menu and bar full of everyone’s favorite meals and beverages. There are weekly specials and events, and live music throughout the summer season.  This Saturday, May 24th at 8pm, the award-winning group Nerds Gone Wild, which won a Buffalo News’ Best of 716 Award, will add excitement to Memorial Day Weekend with their 80’s party music. There will be drink specials and prizes, and customers are encouraged to wear fad clothes from the 80’s.

Besides burgers, seafood, steak, chicken, wraps and paninis, Cabana Sam’s offers exotic dishes such as the Island Grouper Sandwich with Mango Mayo, Mango Grouper Salad, and the Smothered Grouper Platter. Monday nights offer “All You Can Eat”, and on Tuesday nights kids eat for one dollar from 4-9pm (with the purchase of an entree for an adult). Every Wednesday, ten wings are $9.99 all day, while the Pasta Nights on Thursdays go from 4-9pm. Friday’s Fish Frys are available all day, plus they’re a dollar off before 5pm. Saturdays feature a two-for-one Prime Rib Special, and on Sundays, there’s a brunch from 11:30am-2pm. Happy Hours are Monday-Wednesdays from 4-6pm, Thursdays from 4-9pm, Fridays from 4-6pm, and Saturdays from 2-4pm. Soft-serve ice cream desserts are available at the outside counter, “Beaches and Cream”.

On Friday, May 23rd, the Sunset Bay Beach Club, right next to Cabana Sam’s, will open for the season. It has both indoor dancing and a beachside patio bar. Its Memorial Day Weekend activities will include a Sunset Sunday Party and a party on Monday at noon. The Beach Club was voted Western New York’s Best Party Bar at the Buffalo Music Awards in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
